🪵 Our Wood Options
We use a range of high-quality wood types across our collections. Here's a quick guide to help you choose the right one for your board.
📏 Wood Thickness
- 3mm (approx. 3/32")
- 4mm (approx. 1/8") — adds extra rigidity, especially in plywood
🔹 Plywood
- Available in 3mm or 4mm
- Natural grain and occasional knots — we place imperfections on the underside
- Staining available for select products
- Can warp when damp but may flatten once dry

🔸 MDF (Medium-Density Fibreboard)
- Available in 3mm or 4mm
- Brown in colour, smooth surface ideal for engraving
- Sealed before engraving to prevent soot marks
- Will not warp
- Available raw or with protective finishes

⚫ Premium MDF
- Available in 3mm only
- Slightly darker than standard MDF
- Produces bold black engravings with high contrast
- Sealed before engraving, optionally lacquered after
Our top pick for high-contrast Radiesthesia & Radionic boards.
⚪ White MDF
- Available in 3mm only
- White on the front, brown on the reverse
- Excellent engraving contrast
- Protected with acrylic lacquer (can be prone to surface scratches)
- Longer production time makes it a premium option
🌈 Veneered Woods
- 4mm thick, in various natural wood tones
- Some types veneered both sides; others with basic reverse veneer
- Used in our dowsing board range; available by request for other products
- Limited stock due to higher cost
